Today’s post is brought to you by the 2024 Zombie Insect apocalypse.🐞
That’s right! We’ve got Aphids and Leaf Miners; as well as a whole bunch of other crazy forest creature beetle festering infections. Do not fear though, these harmful infestations are not only beautiful, but easily manageable. We just had to turn to our helpful cannibalistic zombie ladybugs.
“Wait, did you just say ladybugs?” That’s right! Apparently, we should be fearing these tiny Titans of destruction. These garden predators evidently decimate entire populations of Aphids in a mere season or less. Can you believe it?
Who would have thought that our social construct of that “pretty” bug (the “lady” if you will) could be such a master killer, a queen of genocide, a leader in insect predation. We should be kneeling at her throne in meek submission with due respect.
Furthermore, living in a forest near a larger ecosystem next to a national park imperatively means that we can never use any man made spray-on insecticides and other types of things that murder “up” and kill all that lives and breathes. We want to keep our birds and wildlife safe from the human interactions with nature, so instead of wiping the Aphid population clean with product, we’re letting the ladybugs do the work for us. A better choice, more healthy for the greater ecosystem at large.
As for the leaf miners, we will be addressing those next (after following their mazes through the leafy greens).
Ladybugs are zombies. Never forget🐞❤️
